Halda was founded in 1887 as the first pocket watch factory in northern Europe. Six years later, Halda won two gold medals at the World Exhibition in Chicago. With our enriched legacy, we are determined to once again put Sweden on the world map in watchmaking.

With a hint of octane.
For a high strength-to-weight ratio, the Race Pilot Octane is completely coated with black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon). DLC is a nanocomposite coating that has unique properties like diamond’s natural low friction, high hardness, and high corrosion resistance. These attributes make it ideal for engine components such as fuel injection systems, valve trains and pistons but also in watchmaking for the same reasons.
The Octane series
Halda Octane is available in two colors, one with white details in the dial and a monochrome one but only 25 pieces of each will be produced. The watches are made to order and assembled entirely by hand in the Halda watch factory just outside Stockholm.

The first manifestation of the unique Halda Concept was the Halda Space Discovery, a limited and numbered edition of 128 pieces. The watch features two interchangeable time modules. Each module is developed for optimum performance in its respective environment. For the mechanical module this means on Earth. For the Space Module it means in space.
Space Discovery
The New Old Stock (NOS) movement inside the modern Halda is an automatic high-performance mechanical movement. It is constructed to operate at the frequency of 5 HZ, or 36,000 bph. It is truly a movement for the most discerning connoisseur and completes the Halda Space Discovery perfectly.
