Linus Lundqvist has started off 2019 at top speed by traveling to Florida, USA, to take part in this year’s Daytona 24 Hours. The Halda ambassador was awarded a spot in the legendary American sportscar competition as a result of winning the BRDC British Formula 3 championship title 2018.
Last weekend, Linus had his first-ever laps at the famous Daytona International Speedway, as well as his first acquaintance with the Lamborghini Huracán Evo GT3 he is set to drive for Precision Performance Motorsports in the GTD class.
Linus Lundqvist:
“Being here among these great names of motorsport, in one of the biggest races on the planet, is a dream come true. I can’t wait to hit the track tomorrow. Hopefully I will get plenty of time in the car this weekend and do a good job for the team.”
On Monday, Swedish motorsport federation announced that Linus will be one of four drivers selected for the Swedish National Team in racing. He joins IndyCar duo Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Ericsson as well as DTM driver Joel Eriksson in the line-up.
We would like to wish Linus the best of luck at Daytona during the 26 – 27 January.
